Who this class is for
The intensive suits self-directed traders and market students who know candlestick and trend basics but still find volume bars, oscillators, and divergence difficult to place in context. You may follow Thai equities, index futures, foreign exchange, or liquid international markets. The chart-reading principles travel; instrument-specific trade calls do not form part of the class.
It is not an introduction to opening a brokerage account, a signal room, or personal investment advice. Participants should be comfortable finding a chart, changing timeframe, and identifying a swing high or swing low.
What we examine
Session one establishes a reading order: location in structure, range and close, relative volume, then momentum behaviour. We compare expansion that attracts continuation with expansion that is absorbed near a meaningful reference.
Session two deals with contraction, tests, and the difference between quiet acceptance and a market that has simply stopped. Session three places momentum acceleration, deceleration, and divergence beside price—not above it as an isolated command. In session four, each participant works through unseen charts and records a primary reading, an alternative, and evidence that would invalidate both.
You will practise with:
- relative volume and range relationships;
- effort-versus-result observations;
- momentum swing comparison;
- regular and hidden divergence in context;
- failed breakouts and lack of follow-through;
- multi-timeframe reference points;
- neutral language for an uncertain chart.
What is included
The fee covers ten classroom hours, a printed exercise folio, annotated examples after each session, and one 45-minute group chart clinic held online within 30 days. You may bring one anonymised chart to the clinic. Tea, coffee, and basic stationery are available in the classroom.
The fee does not include market data subscriptions, charting software, brokerage services, securities recommendations, or assessment of a personal portfolio.
How the four sessions run
Each meeting opens with a short retrieval exercise from the prior lesson. The instructor then marks two examples aloud, including the evidence that weakens the initial interpretation. Most of the session is spent on individual marking and paired comparison. We finish by writing a compact chart note without bullish or bearish adjectives unless the evidence earns them.
Classes are taught by Niran Vachara, a market educator who has led chart-review groups for private traders in Bangkok since 2017. His teaching emphasis is decision hygiene: separating observation from inference and stating uncertainty before choosing action.
Preparation and constraints
Bring a laptop or tablet capable of displaying charts, plus one chart that has genuinely confused you. Remove account numbers, position sizes, order history, and other personal financial details. No particular charting provider is required.
The room holds ten participants. Teaching is in English; questions may also be clarified in Thai. We cannot promise a particular market example because the exercises are selected for clear volume-and-momentum behaviour rather than current popularity.
Reserving a place
Submit the enquiry form with your experience level and usual market. We will confirm fit and available dates within two Bangkok business days. A place is reserved after written confirmation and payment instructions; the website does not process payments.
